Wmlscript

WMLScript was a scripting language for the Wireless Markup Language (WML), used to create content for mobile devices in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The language was designed by Phone.com, now known as Openwave Systems, and later merged with Microsoft's version of WMLScript to become JavaScript for WML in 2001. This new version was defined in the standard ECMA-327 but didn't gain widespread adoption due to competing technologies like HTML5/CSS3 becoming prevalent on mobile devices by the mid-2010s.
